FAQs

1. How do we get started?

The process begins with a discovery call or email exchange where we discuss vision, goals, and budget. Once we define the scope of work, I’ll provide a proposal and contract.
A deposit is usually required to greenlight the project.

2. What’s included in the onboarding process?

  1. Defining the project’s goals and creative direction.

  2. Aligning on deliverables, usage rights, and deadlines.

  3. Green lighting the project by client.

  4. Developing a timeline and production plan.

  5. Confirming locations, talent, and logistics.

3. How does the production process work?

Production is typically divided into three phases:

  1. Pre-Production: Concept development, storyboarding, shot lists, scheduling, and logistics.

  2. Production: The actual shoot day(s), where we capture photography and/or video according to the plan.

  3. Post-Production: Editing, color grading, sound design, and final delivery of polished files.

4. What to expect on shoot days?

As the days are properly planned during the Pre-Production phase, Shoot days simply follow the execution of the plan. Clients are welcome to be present to provide input, or everything can be handled independently and/or remotely.

5. How long does editing take?

Turnaround time depends on the scale of the project. Stills are typically delivered within days to 1 week, while moving and commercial projects may take between 3–6 weeks. All depending on the scope and complexity of the project. Usually an agreed upon amount of Feedback loops are built into the contract, which give assurance, as to what the final result will be. Rush delivery is available upon request (extra fees may apply).

6. How does the offboarding process work?

Once the final files are delivered and approved, you’ll receive:

  • High-resolution files (for print) and web-optimized versions.

  • Optional backup storage or archiving services, if requested.

  • If wished for, I am happy to arrange a feedback session to optimise our future work relationship.

7. What about raw files?

Raw photos and unedited video footage remain the property of the creator unless specifically agreed upon. Edited and delivered files are licensed for your approved use. If you need raw files, we can discuss a separate licensing fee.

8. How do revisions work?

A set number of revision rounds are included in each project. Additional revisions beyond that can be accommodated at an hourly rate (I will communicate when that happens).

9. Can you help with strategy or creative direction?

Yes! I regularly collaborate with brands and individuals to shape concepts, write treatments, and refine visual storytelling. I’m happy to guide you through the creative process.

10. How do payments work?

Typically, 50% of the project fee is due upfront to secure the booking, with the remainder due upon delivery. Payment plans can be arranged for larger projects.

11. What about cancellations or rescheduling?

Life happens. Cancellations or reschedules should preferably be made as early as possible. Incurred production costs, like deposits and pre-production work are generally non-refundable after green lighting. However, I will always try to find a fair solution.

12. Do you travel for projects?

Yes. I’m available for local, national, and international assignments. No environment too harsh, no location too remote. Travel and accommodation costs are billed separately and agreed upon in advance.
